ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Construction Estimator is responsible for preparing time, cost, and labor estimates for construction projects by analyzing drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation.

Job Duties:
• Review applicable data to compute cost factors and prepare estimates.
• Attend job walks and meetings as required.
• Evaluate subcontractor/vendor bids.
• Create cost analysis and determine cost effectiveness for construction projects.
• Consult with clients, vendors, or other entities to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Analyze completed projects to compare estimated costs to actual costs and determine reasons for any discrepancies.
• Identify cost trends to assist management in cost reduction and process improvement.
• Maintain good customer and subcontractor relations.
• Work with Project Management team to ensure that projects are completed on time and under budget.

Minimum Requirements:
• BS/BA in Construction Management or Engineering field.
• Minimum 5 years of construction estimating experience for commercial or government projects.
• Direct experience working on Federal Government projects is preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of construction principles, techniques, materials, and cost estimation fundamentals.
• Ability to take projects from conceptual pricing to hard bids
• Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize workload and multi-task with ease.
• Proficient with estimating software and Microsoft Office applications.
